I got something new!!!!

Woohoo! I am so excited. My little old house that has spent the last two years looking like college kids live there has gotten a good old fashioned face lift. We painted, bought a new couch, bought coolio accessories....and now....now I have my dream coffee table. My life is complete. ;-)

Seriously...I have been looking for a coffee table/storage trunk for, oh, about 8 months? I knew what I wanted, I just had yet to find someone who built it. hehehe! But lucky for me, and not so lucky for Shooter who paid the bill, I found just what I have been dreaming about at Crate and Barrel. Yea, it was more than I really wanted to pay...but then again, I'd been looking for 8 darn months with nary a glimmer of hope. I was ready to pay anything. Well, not really anything, but close to anything....I wouldn't have traded one of my dogs for it....but I might would have let them borrow Shooter to deliver items a couple of times a month. ha!

Anywhoo...here are some pics of my glorious new table/trunk and the couch, et cetera, et cetera.

I wanted to get something that would store all the dogs' blankets, pillows and such when we are having folks over and want to stash them away. I think I found my perfect coffee table. Whew...the search is over!

Fabulous! I LOVE that coffee table/trunk. I want it. Seriously, I would buy that! That is a cozy room.

My husband and I keep talking about ripping wallpaper down and painting the kitchen.. it is going to happen this year...

Wow! That is cool! I love all the different openings. It looks like it can store away quite the stash. Congrats on your successful outcome!

awesome...I like how you hung your pictures too!

we're in the process of fixing up our place too...it's not as fun as it looks on those decorating shows...where they build a whole house in a week..

Fabulous coffee table! I love the new couch and love even more that a little kidlet has made themselves at home for the picture of it! Congrats on all the great new stuff. Its amazing how changing a room can change the whole house.

Beth - It's the Taka Trunk from Crate and Barrel. We have a C&B in town so we just had it delivered from them, but you can order it online. It's heavy as lead so not sure how much the shipping would set you back.

FADKOG - I love all the storage too. I have just loved it and am so glad I just sucked it up and bought it.

Julia - C&B is just awesome. I can't say enough good things about the guys who delivered it and then they followed up with a call to make sure everything was okay. Would definitely buy from them again!

TZ - oh those pics...they're from our trips to Charleston. We bought 4 of them and the rest are ones I took. I look forward to adding to them with pics from this year's vacation - St. Augustine!

Whit - No, same couch as when you were here. Our other couch and loveseat we gave away back in the Fall.

Di - that's right! You guys need to come down for a grill out or something...I promise to feed you in case you get lost going back home. ;-)

Vanessa - you are so right! even with the new coat of paint, the place looked so much better. We're slowly doing more and more and it's really transformed over the last 8 months.

This weekend we start demolition in our master bath...god help us. We're getting the guys to come and install the tile next weekend. I guess I gotta pick the paint out too. Look for a string of updates about that. Ha!

That is so awesome! Glad I came across your blog.

Your house looks like something out of a magazine. I love it!!

Oh and your dog too. I always wanted a mini-schnauzer! :)

Marni - so glad you stopped by! Mini's are awesome. Vanessa (who commented here) has two as well. They're the best pups ever!

There are actually two mini terroritsts (as I like to call them) in that pic. Can you find the other one?? Shooter and I played that game the other night - spot the schnauzer!
